英语 Course Selection
College-level 英语1 is required for transfer, AA-T/AA/AS degrees and many certificates. We also offer this class with a non-credit 英语 215 support course, at no additional 成本.
College preparatory courses, 英语 201A/B, 英语 202, and 英语 210 are for students who want to practice reading and writing in a low pressure environment. Non-credit 英语 classes will help students work toward their personal goals as readers and writers, but do not transfer or satisfy degree requirements. 学费 free.

英语 201A and 201B are slower-paced college preparatory 英语 classes, which are TUITION FREE to students. Each class is 9 weeks and can be taken in sequence or as a stand alone class. Both classes include in-class time to practice college-level reading and writing.
学生 who take 201A and/or 201B, may move into 202 the following semester, or jump ahead into 英语1.

英语 202 is a faster-paced college preparatory 英语 class designed for students to move, in one semester, into 英语1, and includes in-class time to practice college-level reading and writing.
TUITION FREE for students.
学生 are not required to take 英语 201A/201B and 202 before taking 英语 1. 学生 do not have to pass a non-credit class before taking 英语1. 学生 who complete any two non-credit 英语 courses (201A, 201B, 202, 215) will receive a Certificate of Competency.
